This guide is to show Yorkshire Hosting customer how to purchase Web/WordPress hosting.
Let's get started...
- Visit yorkshire-hosting.co.uk
- From the left hand menu select Hosting > WordPress Hosting
- Choose the package you'd like and click Order Now
Note: If you're new to hosting and are not sure which hosting is right for you, get in touch and we'll be happy to point you in the right direction - If you do not have a domain name yet, choose Register a new domain
Enter the name you'd like to register for your website and click Check to see if the domain name is available
If it is, you'll see Congratulations! Domain is available and you can click Continue to add it to the cart along with your hosting
If the domain is not available you'll see Domain is unavailable. You can either choose an alternative extension, if its available, otherwise you'll need to choose a different name
Important: Double check the spelling of your domain name, once registered the domain can only be refunded within 24 hours of purchase - If you already have a domain name, choose I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers
Enter your domain name in the box and click Use - Check over the package to ensure that's what your looking for and then select how long you'd like to purchase for under the Choose Billing Cycle option
- Choose if you'd like to add an SSL Certificate to your order and click Continue
Note: An SSL certificate allows you to secure your website with various types of encryption. Most paid SSL's come with insurance and are trusted more. These certificates are recommend on e-commerce websites where sensitive customer data is frequently being accessed from multiple browsers and locations. - Have a final check everything is correct with the Product and Price/Cycle and click Checkout
- If you already have an account click Already registered? and sign-in to complete your order
- If you're a new customer, enter your Account information, billing info and login details for your account
- Choose how you'd like to be billed, if you'd like to pay by card choose Stripe and enter your card information, otherwise choose Paypal
- Choose if you'd like to Join our mailing list, have a read of our terms and click the box to accept, and finally click Complete Order
All done! You've now successfully setup your WordPress hosting. You will now shortly receive your WordPress login via email, along with your order confirmation, welcome email and domain validation email if you have also purchased a domain as part of this process.
